Cookie Policy

The short version

If you do nothing, or reject non-essential storage, this site sets no cookies at all. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them, and the site works fully either way.

We record your choice itself in your browser's local storage so that we do not have to keep asking. That entry is not a cookie and is never sent to a server.

One standard, everywhere

We apply the same approach to every visitor, wherever you are:

• Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity stay off until you actively accept them.
• Nothing is pre-selected, and “Reject non-essential” is exactly as easy to use as “Accept analytics”.
• The website is fully usable if you decline.
• You can change your decision at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.
• Your choice lasts six months, after which we ask again.

What may be stored

At the date of this policy, our testing identified the cookies and browser-storage items listed above as the ones this website uses. The technologies our providers use can change, and we review this list periodically to keep it accurate.

We use no advertising, tracking or social-media cookies. Our webfonts are served from this site rather than a font CDN, so loading a page contacts no third party at all until you accept analytics.

The expiry column is how long each item stays on your device. That is a separate thing from how long a provider keeps the data it has already collected: Google Analytics retains user-level event data for 14 months. Retention periods are set out in our privacy policy.

Cookies, storage, tags and similar technologies

“Cookies” here also covers local storage, session storage, and the analytics tags that set them. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded as tags only after you accept; before that, no request is made to either provider.

Clarity is configured with Strict masking, so text and form entries are masked in your browser before anything is transmitted. We do not intentionally use Clarity to capture information entered into enquiry or registration forms.

Changing your mind

Use “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page, or the button below.

Withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics and Clarity loading from that point on, and no further data is collected. Our consent system also removes the analytics cookies and browser storage it controls from your device, including the Clarity session token. Your choice itself is kept, so that we do not immediately ask again.

One limit is worth being clear about. Data already sent to Google or Microsoft before you withdrew remains with them until their applicable retention period ends. Clearing storage from your browser does not delete it from their systems, and we cannot promise otherwise.

You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser. That removes the analytics storage and the record of your choice, so the banner will ask again on your next visit.
